Successful Hip Joint Replacement Surgeries with Media Coverage
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, we celebrate new beginnings and successful outcomes in healthcare. It was a proud and delightful moment to share the success of two complex Hip Joint Replacement surgeries performed at Sri Aditya Multi Speciality Hospital, Nirmal, which also received coverage in print and electronic media.
Patient 1 – Hip Arthritis due to Tuberculosis
Mr. Narasimharao, a 33-year-old resident of Kanigiri, Ongole district, had been suffering from severe left hip pain for several years. Despite consulting multiple doctors in Hyderabad, Ongole, and Nizamabad, he continued to struggle with pain and difficulty in walking.
He later consulted Dr. Pramodh Chandra Reddy, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Sri Aditya Multi Speciality Hospital, Nirmal. After a detailed evaluation with X-rays and CT scans, he was diagnosed with arthritis of the hip secondary to tuberculosis of the left hip joint.
Considering the severity of joint damage, Total Hip Replacement Surgery was advised.
Patient 2 – Failed Previous Hip Surgery (Implant Failure)
Another patient, Mr. Bhumaiah from Nizamabad, had previously undergone surgery for a hip fracture three years earlier at another hospital. Unfortunately, the implant failed within a year, and he had been suffering from severe pain and difficulty in walking for the past two years.
After thorough evaluation, he was diagnosed with implant failure, and Revision Hip Joint Replacement Surgery was recommended.

Road Safety Awareness by Dr. Balaraju Naidu
Road accidents are increasing rapidly, and one of the most serious consequences is severe head injury. According to orthopedic surgeon Dr. Balaraju Naidu, many accident victims lose their lives within minutes due to serious injuries to the head and brain.
He explained that head injuries are the leading cause of death in road traffic accidents, especially among people traveling on two-wheelers without helmets. In many cases, riders who meet with accidents suffer brain damage, skull fractures, and immediate loss of consciousness, which can become fatal.
Dr. Balaraju Naidu emphasized that wearing a helmet and following traffic safety rules can significantly reduce the risk of life-threatening injuries. Helmets act as a protective shield that absorbs the impact during an accident and prevents severe damage to the brain.
He also highlighted that carelessness, overspeeding, and neglecting safety measures are major reasons for fatal road accidents. Many accidents occur simply because riders ignore the basic rule of wearing helmets.
